Grand Marble, a marble Danish specialty store from Kyoto (Headquarters: 93 Kamitoba Kitashimada-cho, Minami-ku, Kyoto; Representative Director: Masanori Yamamoto), in collaboration with a long-established chocolate store in Hakata, will sell a limited edition marble Danish "Milky Chocolat" from October 1 (Wed) to October 7 (Tue), 2025. The product will be on sale at the event space on the second basement floor of the Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin Store's main building from October 1 (Wed.) to October 7 (Tue.), 2025.

This limited edition product is the first in a series of "Fukuoka × Grand Marble" collaborations that are scheduled to be developed in the future. Grand Marble's danishes are carefully baked one by one by artisans, and chocolates are handmade by the "Chocolate Shop" which has been in business for over 80 years. These two handicrafts meet to create a special delicacy that can only be enjoyed here.

About "Chocolate Shop

Founded in 1942 as "the place where chocolate first began in Hakata," the Chocolate Shop has been a popular confectionary specialty store in Hakata, Fukuoka for over 80 years. The store offers about 100 kinds of western confections, baked goods, and chocolates, most of which are handmade by artisans. The confections are carefully made one by one with "safety and security" as the motto.

The "Chocolate Shop" is well known as the place where Hakata's chocolate began.

Background of Collaboration

This collaboration started with the hope that more people in Fukuoka would become familiar with the Kyoto-born "Grand Marble" and feel familiar with it.

With your cooperation, we have realized this project with a "chocolate store" that has long been a favorite in Hakata, our hometown.

We asked the chocolate store to develop original chocolates with the theme of "chocolate with a milkiness and a nostalgic feeling" so that people of all ages, from small children to adults, can enjoy them.

After many prototypes of milk chocolate, white chocolate, bitter chocolate, and other types of chocolate, we have achieved the perfect balance between the gentle sweetness of the marble Danish and the rich cocoa aroma of the chocolate.
