L'Arc-en-Ciel's tetsuya held two shows on his birthday, "TETSUYA BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION" on Friday, October 3: "TETSUYA & The Juicy-Bananas "LIVE 2025 "THANK YOU and "Like-an-Angel "LIVE 2025 "THANK YOU"" were held at The Garden Hall in Ebisu.
He took the stage twice in one day, once as a vocalist with the band "The Juicy-Bananas" and once as a bassist with the L'Arc-en-Ciel tribute band Like-an-Angel. Solo vocalist and bassist for the band. Few artists would be able to perform both on the same stage twice in one day. Here are the live reports from both shows.

<TETSUYA & The Juicy-Bananas "LIVE 2025 "THANK YOU"" - Vocalist TETSUYA showed his ability in the upper register.

The first part of "TETSUYA & The Juicy-Bananas "LIVE 2025 "THANK YOU"" started with "Eureka". The sound of "The Juicy-Bananas," featuring twin guitars, bass, drums, and keyboards, was a flexible and graceful depiction of the song. TETSUYA, who was singing with both hands on the stand microphone during the following song "Make a Wish," showed a typical action of a vocalist by holding the microphone stand to the right side of his body as if it were falling at an angle and then immediately returning it to his body when the sound broke out.
He started the MC with "It's been a while! and then began the MC with, "How are you doing? Are you evolving? Have you stopped? and "No, we haven't stopped! and smiled at the audience's response, "No, we haven't! He then summed up the show as follows.
After three years of meeting and performing with the members of this band, I feel that we haven't stopped at all. The audience responded with applause.

In the middle part of the show, they continued with up-tunes "TIGHTROPE" and "Aiwaarendaa I Surrender. The shimmering melodies lifted the spirits of the audience. Everyone on stage and in the audience had a smile on their faces. His popness filled the venue with happiness, which could be felt in the air. In the romantic medium tune "Time goes on - like bubbles," he sounded clear tones in the high register at the beginning of the chorus. He crescendoed in tone, and by the end of the song, his voice sounded strong and steady, showing his steady skills as well. In the latter half of the song, she also showed her clear falsetto.
Again, the MC told a birthday-like episode, saying that when she woke up in the morning, she said, "Thank you, father and mother. The next moment, he made the audience laugh by saying, "Sorry, I grew up like that. Then he continued. I am standing on stage like this thanks to my father, mother, all the fans, the members, and the staff. I am grateful for that.
The live went into the second half. TETSUYA changed the way he pronounced the words between the melody and the chorus, and the smoothness of the melody after that showed his skill as a vocalist. TETSUYA looked up to the sky and encouraged the audience with the gesture "Come on! As if this action was a signal, the whole audience started to move as if they were bouncing. TETSUYA repeatedly jumped during the outro of "READY FOR WARP" and the audience jumped along with him! After the song, TETSUYA & The Juicy-Bananas left the stage.
Encore. TETSUYA and the members of The Juicy-Bananas wearing the goods T-shirts for this event. They sat on the chairs prepared on stage and asked, "Can I show off the bass I recently bought?" and received a bass from a staff member. Then, he honestly told the audience about his solo show, "I'm sorry I couldn't prepare a new song for you," and said that the next song would be the first song he would perform at his solo show, but everyone knew it.

TETSUYA unleashed "Mirai Sekai" (Future World), an innocent ballad from L'Arc-en-Ciel's album "Butterfly" (2012) with an innocent melody that purifies the heart. TETSUYA starts singing softly, with only a single note of bells and TETSUYA's voice on the first verse, which means it is almost a cappella. In other words, it was almost a cappella. The audience listened attentively. The band started to play during the song, and TETSUYA performed a bass solo during the interlude. After impressing the audience with a rare surprise scene, TETSUYA continued with "White Tulip," "Roulette," and "Are you ready to ride?

<Like-an-Angel "LIVE 2025 "THANK YOU"" - The world's first performance of new songs and announcement of a nationwide tour starting at the end of the year.
Like-an-Angel "LIVE 2025 "THANK YOU
It was past the scheduled show time. The curtain fell on the second part of the concert. The stage was darkened and a lighting like a laser beam cut through the dark space. Vocalist Jekyll, guitarists Reno and Saki, and drummer hibiki stood by. When tetsuya appeared at the end of the set, the audience cheered even louder. The opening song was "the Fourth Avenue Cafe. When saki went up on the stage and played the guitar solo, tetsuya looked at her while playing the bass guitar.
The songs "winter fall" and "BLESS" followed, with the delicate nuances of the vocals and falsetto playing a key role in each song. In the first three songs, it was clear that tetsuya was trying to build up jekyll's vocals even more. jekyll's voice is strong, with overtones in the middle and upper registers. This is already a major weapon in Like-an-Angel's arsenal. Tetsuya may be trying to add another weapon to this arsenal--that is what I thought during the first three songs of the set.
Like-an-Angel "LIVE 2025 "THANK YOU
Jekyll greeted the audience in Japanese, "Hello, everyone, good evening. The audience applauded. Then in English, he told the audience that it was Tetsuya's birthday, a special day, and that they should celebrate it together with music, to which the audience responded with excitement. The two guitarists took different approaches to "flower," with saki expressing the warmth of the song and reno the loveliness of the music. The harp during the interlude was a strummed harp, but jekyll showed a bit of a harp performance and a shy smile on his face.
All three songs were released in 1998. All three songs were released in 1998, and all three have topped the charts. As in the beginning of the show, the set was full of surprises. This boldness is one of tetsuya's quintessential characteristics. He does things that no one else tries or can think of, and does them with high quality. The dynamic bass drumming by hibiki on "Honey" added a harder tone to the original song, which was also impressive.
Like-an-Angel "LIVE 2025 "THANK YOU
In the middle of the show, Like-an-Angel's debut single "Angel beside yoU" was released. The members of Like-an-Angel presented the song to Tetsuya on his birthday last year. The audience sang along. It seemed as if everyone there was celebrating tetsuya's birthday through this song.
At the end of the song, jekyll took the microphone. He asked about his debut song, "How did you like it? Did you like it?" he asked the audience. Then, as if to say, "If you like it, let's hear more of your voice ......," he divided the audience into right, center, and left, asking the audience in turn, "Let's hear it! The audience responded with laughter and shouts of joy at the sight of jekyll's pace. The audience responded loudly with laughter. jekyll smiled with a satisfied smile and said, "Thank you," before announcing that the next song would be performed in English. The chorus of "YOU GOTTA RUN -English Version-" and tetsuya's chorus started to run. jekyll crouched down at the very front of the stage, looking at the audience in front of him, occasionally reaching out his hand while singing. jekyll finally turned the microphone to the audience and said "Every body! The audience responded with a chorus of "YOU GOTTA RUN. During "GOOD LUCK MY WAY," the front four members came out to the front of the stage. From left to right, tetsuya, reno, jekyll, and saki took the stage and each of them raised the audience's voltage even higher with their respective performances. The audience sang along to the chorus. There were many scenes like this at Like-an-Angel's show, where the audience joined in the sing-along.
I think there were more scenes of jekyll pointing the microphone at the audience than before, maybe because it was tetsuya's birthday, or maybe because he thought more singalongs were necessary to enjoy the songs with the audience. Either way, it was definitely a more energetic show than their previous shows, with a surprise performance of TETSUYA's solo song "I WANNA BE WITH YOU" by Like-an-Angel, which was truly a surprise only for that day.
Like-an-Angel "LIVE 2025 "THANK YOU
However, the biggest surprise of the day was prepared for the next moment.
A gauze curtain descended on the stage as the audience called for an encore. As a solemn and powerful chorus played as a sound effect, the screen read "Smartphone photography is allowed for the songs we are going to play! on the screen. The next moment, the words on the screen were this: Like-an-Angel New Song "Crash to Rise". The chorus of "Ah~ Ah~", which I thought was the sound effect, was directly connected to the introduction of the new song. When the members started to play, the audience started to sing "Oh~ Oh~" from the beginning. When a new song is performed live for the first time, there is a pattern of inviting the audience to singalong during the chorus or the latter half of the song, but I have never seen such a scene where the audience was united in singing from the beginning with a visual performance from the sound effects.
Here, I think what Like-an-Angel is aiming for right now and tetsuya's production skills were evident. The second single "Crash to Rise," with lyrics by jekyll and music by saki and tetsuya, is an up-tempo tune with a vigorous beat. The second single, "Crash to Rise," was written by jekyll and composed by saki and tetsuya. The song has a gusty speed that could leave you behind if you are not careful, a tight and technical band sound, and a sense of scale in the sing-along.
The scale of the sing-along is such that I have a feeling it will become an anthem song in the future. While the previous song was written entirely in English, the new song uses Japanese words at the end of the first verse, such as "Yume o chasing, to freedom," and at the end of the last verse, "To the end, echo," which is another significant evolution. To simply summarize the differences between English and Japanese from a pronunciation point of view, English is pronounced with strong consonants, while Japanese is pronounced with weak consonants, making it sound as if the accent is on the vowels. jekyll succeeded in making this difference sound very skillful and seamless. In particular, he makes good use of a pronunciation somewhere between "a" and "e," which makes the Japanese sound a little more English, and gives the listener the feeling that he is listening to Japanese even in English lyrics. This is one answer that vocalist jekyll has found in his years of singing L'Arc-en-Ciel songs. With "Crash to Rise," jekyll fully demonstrates this originality and shows a new appeal. The release of their debut single and their first live performance overseas show that Like-an-Angel's band sound is evolving and reaching new heights.
Like-an-Angel "LIVE 2025 "THANK YOU""
TETSUYA had said "I'm sorry we don't have any new songs" at his first solo show, but here he had a new song, and the chorus from the intro made the corners of my mouth rise. tetsuya tetsuya is always thinking about the next vision. No, he is looking even further into the future. And he keeps updating it. Now that social networking sites have become the main source of information, he added the heat of Like-an-Angel's live photos and videos at the same time he released the information.
Tetsuya took the microphone. He told the audience, "I just realized that I haven't eaten anything since I arrived at the venue that day, so I don't have enough energy. ......," in a tone as if he was talking to an acquaintance. The audience shook "MUKIMPO-kun" goods here and there in response to his words. He smiled at the audience again and closed the show by saying, "This song was given to me as a gift one year ago today.
I'm so happy to play the sound. I'm going to play the future for the five of us.
With these words, the band moved on to "Mirai". Tetsuya beat the rhythm powerfully, and the other four members responded to his feelings by playing and singing carefully and energetically. During the chorus, rainbow-colored lights illuminated the audience from the stage.
The members of The Juicy-Bananas joined in for "READY STEADY GO," with TETSUYA and jekyll on vocals. The song began with hyde shouting "Are you fu××ing ready~? This song was the killer tune of the show, which started with hyde's shout of "Are you fu××ing ready~? On this day, TETSUYA shouted "Are you fu××ing ready~? I thought it would be ......, but the band members played "Happy Birthday to You". TETSUYA stopped for a moment to look at the surprise from all the performers and the staff, and then his face lit up as if to say, "Hey~! A cake was brought on stage, and a large satin matched set with congratulatory messages from fans and band members was handed to TETSUYA. All the performers took a commemorative photo with the audience in the background. The cloth was not spread out enough on the stage, so the audience members in the front rows held the cloth and took pictures. After the photo shoot, tetsuya received the Yosegaki from the audience and thanked them with a smile, looking into their eyes, saying "Thank you. I've become vocalist TETSUYA and bassist tetsuya in one day! He continued with joy, "I got vocalist TETSUYA and bassist tetsuya in one day!
Like-an-Angel "LIVE 2025 "THANK YOU"".
I've been busy with rehearsals, recordings, and many other things over the past year. I've been busy, but I'm so happy to be able to live my life immersed in music. It's thanks to all of you, thank you so much."
TETSUYA BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION" was a simultaneous rehearsal for Like-an-Angel's second single, TETSUYA's solo performance, and Like-an-Angel's rehearsal, He was the producer and the leader of the band, and managed a total of 10 members including himself, while there were many moments when he changed from TETSUYA to tetsuya. His broad perspective, sensitivity to trends, and multifaceted thinking are typical of tetsuya, but to be able to multitask and multi-task as the central figure and smile, saying, "I'm happy to live my life immersed in music. He is really no ordinary person. He loves music so much that he can do things that are out of the ordinary.
After a fresh start(?), he started the "READY STEADY STEADY" project. Metal tapes flew during the introduction of "READY STEADY GO," a performance not forgetting the respect for L'Arc-en-Ciel. The skills of the two vocalists created a rare scene. The audience was in a festive mood as four guitarists, a bassist, a shorkey (shoulder keyboard), two drummers, and two vocalists performed "READY STEADY GO," and the long day of TETSUYA came to a close with the audience's loud chorus.
After the show, it was announced that "Crash to Rise" would be released on December 17 (Wed.) and "Like-an-Angel TOUR 2025-2026 'Crash to Rise'" would be held. Harbor Studio on December 21 (Sun.), followed by eight performances in four cities throughout Japan. The final show will be held at Yokohama Bay Hall on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
