1. 3 years since the founding of the club! The e-sports club has participated in national tournaments!

Our school is a high school founded in 1950. Currently, in addition to the "Regular Course," the school offers four other courses: the "Preparatory Course," "Information Processing Course," and "Art Course," and graduates are active in various fields beyond the local community.

The school respects the independence of its students, and offers a variety of activities that are not limited to academics. Currently, these activities are nurturing the buds of our students in various fields. The most notable is the unique and varied club activities. In addition to the "e-sports club" that participated in the national tournament, the school also has a "general culture club (a.k.a. outdoor club)," a "barista club" that roasts coffee beans, and a wide variety of extracurricular activities that match students' interests and directions and are utilized in their activities after graduation.

On September 13 and 14, 2025, we participated in the international exchange tournament "K-eSports Festival in Chungnam" held in Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea, as a representative of Japan.

This tournament was realized upon invitation from Chungcheongnam-do, Korea, with which Shizuoka Prefecture has a friendship agreement. 3 schools from Japan (Seihye High School, 1 school each from Kumamoto and Nara Prefectures) and high school students from Indonesia and Korea participated in this tournament.

From our school, 3rd year e-sports club members Rizora Suzuki, Kazuki Komatsu, Chiharu Suzuki, Taiga Tanaka, and Sumiharu Hasegawa participated.

In addition to experiencing Korean youth e-sports facilities, they played "VALORANT," a 5-on-5 tactical FPS (First Person Shooter) game, in an exchange match. High school students from Japan and Korea competed against each other's skills and deepened exchanges.

Seiei High School played its first game against Kumamoto Municipal Chiharadai High School and regrettably lost, but it was a fruitful expedition.

Comments from participating students

Rizora Suzuki

I was anxious about going abroad for the first time, but it was a valuable experience for me to experience the local culture and atmosphere of the people. We hope to make use of the experience we gained here in our future practices and competitions, and grow even more."

Chiharu Suzuki

I am honored to have had this opportunity to learn about different cultures, regardless of where we are from or where we live. But I believe that this experience will be a treasure for the rest of our lives and a beacon that will help us grow to even greater heights."

Taiga Tanaka

I was anxious about going abroad for the first time, but our guide and everyone who joined us there treated us kindly, and by the second day, my anxiety was gone. At the tournament, we lost in the first round and I was depressed, but thanks to the team members, I was able to regain my strength. I believe we were able to grow even more based on this experience."

Sumiharu Hasegawa

I was very anxious at first because it was my first time abroad and I didn't know anything about the environment, but when I saw the streets at night and the various landscapes, I thought it was a wonderful place. I am very glad that I was able to learn about Korean culture this time. I was very disappointed with the results of the tournament, but I learned that I am still not good enough by watching the games of all the teams, including Indonesia and Korea. From now on, I will practice and gain knowledge so that I can gradually become better, and I will do my best based on the experience I gained this time."

Kazuki Komatsu

I was anxious because it had been a long time since I had been abroad and met many different people, but everyone was friendly to me and I was glad that I was able to have a good exchange.
