Treasure hunt among a mountain of over 20,000 books! Gotanda Yuko Kai to be held at Nanbu Kosho Kaikan from 9/5 (Fri.) to 9/6 (Sat.)

We are pleased to announce that the antiquarian book exhibition "Gotanda Yuko Kai" will be held at Nanbu Kosho Kaikan in Gotanda on September 5 (Fri.) and 6 (Sat.), 2025.

The Gotanda Yuko Kai is an exhibition of antiquarian books held four times a year at Nanbu Kosho Kaikan in Gotanda, Tokyo.

The Gotanda Yuko Kai features a two-floor venue with over 20,000 books.

The first floor is a bargain sales area with a selection of "Surprisingly Special Prices" (starting at 200 yen!). 

The main venue is on the second floor. A wide variety of items are displayed, from easy-to-find books priced at a few hundred yen to rare books, one-of-a-kind manuscripts, and raw materials priced at several hundred thousand yen.

Various items are displayed not only on the 1st and 2nd floors, but also in the corridors and stairways.

The exhibition hall is lined with not only books, but also miscellaneous goods, records, DVDs, postcards, and a wide variety of other items.

The first floor of the venue, which makes use of a large garage space, will be filled with a heap of bargain items from each store. The venue is bustling with the excitement of visitors.

Catalog of the exhibition

The Gotanda Antiquarian Society publishes a free catalog, "Catalog of Used Books," which also serves as a guide to the schedule for each exhibition. You can check out each store's best items before the exhibition and register in advance (in case of duplicate orders, a lottery will be held). Please register.

Registration can be made by postcard or fax to Nanbu Kosho Kaikan, or by phone during the exhibition.
