LaLaLa Festival, an outdoor festival held every summer in Jakarta, Indonesia, expanded its scale in 2025 and was held for three days from August 22 to 24. Like-an-Angel performed at "LaLaLa Festival 2025," their first overseas performance as Like-an-Angel, to the cheers of a packed house.

Like-an-Angel is a L'Arc-en-Ciel tribute band formed by L'Arc-en-Ciel leader tetsuya. In June 2025, they released their original song "Angel beside yoU". On this day, reno (G) was unable to participate due to scheduling conflicts, and the band consisted of tetsuya (B), jekyll (Vo), saki (G), and hibiki (Dr) for their first overseas performance.

Screams flowed into the stage at the first note of the intro. The opening song was "Tears of Thorns," which was also the first song of L'Arc-en-Ciel's world tour "WORLD TOUR 2012" held in 10 countries in 2012, including Jakarta, other Asian countries, New York, London, and Paris. It is surprising that the first song of Like-an-Angel's first overseas show is the same as the first song of L'Arc-en-Ciel's solo show in Jakarta. Even if it was a tribute, it was too romantic. The setlist was decided by Like-an-Angel's commanding officer, tetsuya, and he always shows us this kind of gut-wrenching drama as a matter of course. The graceful A melody, the emotional chorus that explodes with emotion. The instruments dynamically embody the song's narrative. jekyll sang the melodies with highs and lows with dignity, especially the powerful long tones before the chorus, which seemed to rise up from the depths of the earth.

The audience and jekyll started the chorus of "CHASE -English version-" with saki's solid and rough guitar that seemed to cut through the darkness, and the heat was quickly turned up. During the interlude, tetsuya turned to the audience and gestured with his right hand from the bottom to the top, as if to say, "Come on, come on, come on! The audience cheered as he did so. The cheers grew louder and louder at the sight of this gesture.

Then came "GOOD LUCK MY WAY," with hibiki dynamically creating a groove on the intro drums. Jekyll, saki, and tetsuya moved freely across the stage, with saki's long, beautiful hair shaking in the air and head banging, embodying the rhythm with her body. Jekyll sang as he walked up to tetsuya, who was jumping to the rhythm. Tetsuya, who had been jumping to the rhythm, was now joined by jekyll, who sang along with him. tetsuya sat down a little to catch jekyll's performance, and when the two turned to face each other and swayed their bodies, the crowd cheered charmingly. The audience was quick to react to every note of the sound and every move of the band members. This was proof that Jakarta had been waiting for Like-an-Angel's show.

After expressing in English how they felt about performing at "LaLaLa Festival 2025," they announced that this would be Like-an-Angel's first overseas show, to which the audience applauded loudly.

During the interlude, tetsuya performed in the center of the stage, saki played a crisp guitar solo, and jekyll nodded his head in rhythm as he turned to hibiki on drums and made eye contact. The expressions on their faces after that seemed to confirm the response to the live with smiles on their faces. CO2 was also sprayed at the end of the show, and disappeared at the same time as the band's final crescendo.

Saki's guitar swam gracefully in the darkness. Tetsuya's bass followed her sound with a gentle, enveloping sound, adding a rich expression. The song moved on to "MY HEART DRAWS A DREAM. The introductory exchange between the guitar and bass is a special scene unique to Like-an-Angel's live performances. The bass is included to bring out the charm of saki's sharp guitar without destroying the impression of the original song's sound image. Here, I thought, was the significance of Like-an-Angel's existence that tetsuya had found, his love for L'Arc-en-Ciel, and his pride in both bands. In the audience seats, smartphone lights were swinging here and there.

During "X X X -English version-," jekyll's falsetto created a bewitching night. The MC again. Amidst the loud cheers, jekyll told the audience in English, "Thank you for singing with me. It feels great to sing with you" and conveyed his feelings. After that, the members were introduced and each went on to MC. First, jekyll introduced guitarist saki, who took the microphone. After introducing jekyll's Like-an-Angel, which has an original song, the audience went on to "Angel beside yoU. The graceful melody was released as if soaring in the night breeze. The music video of the song was shown on the screen in the background. The mood of the audience was completely changed by the romantic medium tune, which was too sad to be called melancholy. They swallow their cheers and listen to the song. Some stared at the stage with their hands folded in front of their chests, some stood up tall to watch the music video, and some looked up to the sky and let the music take over. ...... Like-an-Angel's original songs, heard live for the first time, seemed to permeate each and every one of the audience members.

The lights flashed and "THE BLACK ROSE" began. Jekyll's vocals clearly outlined the song. He sings melancholy melodies as if melting into the darkness, while his voice is thick and extended like an overtone in the dynamic chorus. I had always thought that the strength of his tone was his charm, but the subtle vibrato and crescendo he added to it showed that he still has a lot of room to grow as a vocalist.

As the song ended and the stage went dark, tetsuya waved his left hand down powerfully, signaling the start of "DAYBREAK'S BELL". Tetsuya was playing the bass guitar at the fixed position on the left side of the stage, his jacket was swaying in the wind. While playing, he looked around the audience slowly. Tetsuya's perspective is always surprisingly broad and calm, no matter the venue. This breadth and calmness of perspective seems to be directly related to the quality of all of his musical activities. The same goes for the quality of his live performances. From low voice to falsetto, jekyll sang with a steady voice. saki, hibiki, and tetsuya also attracted the audience with their aggressive performances.

The stage went dark, and jekyll's words brightened up the audience. After he finished filming, he said in English that this would be the last song and that he wanted to thank everyone for their support and that he would see them again.
