ENNN Japan (Head office: Itami City, Representative: Chisa Yoshitake), a company dedicated to the inheritance and innovation of tatami culture, in collaboration with SOU-SOU, a textile brand from Kyoto (Head office: Kyoto City, Representative: Takeshi Wakabayashi), announces the first "new Japanese-style room that exceeds common sense".
SOU・SOU sliding door Hohoemi Poppy Color (Karashiiro)
This project will change the conventional image of Japanese-style rooms as "plain and old-fashioned" by incorporating SOU-SOU's unique patterns and colors into the tatami mats, sliding doors, and shoji screens that are the symbols of the Japanese-style room.
A completely new space that is both playful and designful, while remaining in tune with modern life, will be created.

Development Background
With the recent trend away from Japanese-style rooms, we thought that in order to pass on the "goodness of tatami" to the next generation, we needed to think freely and not be bound by tradition. The future of Japanese-style rooms has begun to take shape.
Future Development
We plan to collaborate with other genres in the future. We cannot take our eyes off of the ever-evolving Japanese-style room.
