OSSTEM JAPAN Co. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Masamori Park) held the dental academic symposium "HIOSSEN FORUM" on June 29, 2025 (Sunday) at the Tokyo Marriott Hotel The Gotenyama Ballroom.
This symposium was hosted by OSSTEM JAPAN, which has HIOSSEN IMPLANT, and was attended by about 100 people, mainly dentists and dental hygienists. lectures were given on how to utilize HIOSSEN IMPLANT in clinical practice, using a variety of approaches. The speakers were seen taking pictures of their slides and taking notes, and there was a lively Q&A session.

The lecture by Dr. Hisashi Yonemoto of Akasaka Dental and Orthodontic Clinic, who was the first speaker, started with a review of basic information on ET NH IMPLANT and then discussed the treatment utilizing the faster bone healing and improved bone union of HIOSSEN ET NH (Nano-hydroxyapatite) using actual cases. In his lecture, Dr. Dai Kawanabe of Kawanabe Dental Clinic talked about the treatment that crosses perio and implant based on a case of a patient with severe periodontal disease, using a wealth of photos and videos. I was impressed by the way he compared the offensive treatment of implants and the defensive treatment of perio to a sword and shield. Participants could be seen watching intently and taking notes on the progress and results of the treatment performed by combining periodontal treatment, implants, and orthodontics.

In his lecture, Dr. Hitoshi Kurihara of Chichibu Clinical Dental Clinic talked about treatment in collaboration with otolaryngology, using photos, videos, diagrams, and charts. Dr. Kurihara asked, "Outside of urban areas, are there few patients who want to receive full dental care such as implants? I think many of the participants who manage dental clinics in rural and suburban areas were encouraged by the words, "That's not true. Participants listened intently to the heated lecture.

In the foyer near the entrance of the venue, actual K5 dental unit chairs and CBCT T2plus were displayed. Participants who were interested in the machines were able to operate them and check the details that could not be seen in the catalogs or on the website. In addition, dental drills and other equipment were also on display, and many participants stopped to ask questions of the sales staff.

After the three lectures, the awards for Meritorious Service and Outstanding Clinical Dentistry were presented.
The three recipients of the Distinguished Service Award were Dr. Hisashi Yonemoto of Akasaka Dental and Orthodontic Clinic, Dr. Dai Kawanabe of Kawanabe Dental Clinic, and Dr. Hitoshi Kurihara of Chichibu Clinical Dental Clinic, who gave excellent lectures.
Next, the plaque for the certification of excellent clinical dentistry was presented to the doctors who have made numerous clinical use of HIOSSEN IMPLANT.
The seven doctors who received the plaques from Dr. Jong-Soo Park, President of HIOSSEN IMPLANT, were warmly applauded by the audience.
One of the participants said, "I want to put the plaque in my clinic, too, so I will make more use of HIOSSEN IMPLANT in the future.

After the awarding ceremony, a reception was held at an adjacent venue. The reception started with a toast by Dr. Jong-Soo Park, President of the corporation, followed by speeches by the speakers, the recipients of the certification shields, Dr. Takeo Kanayama, Tokyo Ginza Dental Clinic, and other Ostem OIC directors, and Dr. Jun Shimada, Meikai University School of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Implantology. Along with a special dinner specially prepared for the occasion, participants engaged in lively exchanges in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

After the dinner, Mr. Jung-Soo Park, President of HIOSSEN Corporation, gave a closing speech, and the first HIOSSEN FORUM ended with a round of applause.
