An event that brings together "en" with "wa" made by the people of Kichijoji! Kichijoji people will hold "Kichijoji George Ennichi 2025 in Coppice Kichijoji" on July 19-21!
For three days, visitors can enjoy traditional games and unusual performances under the theme of "Oedo Mood!

Coppice Kichijoji (located in Musashino-shi, Tokyo) will hold a three-day event from July 19 (Sat.) to July 21 (Mon.), 2025 (national holiday), where unique people from Kichijoji will gather at the GREENING Plaza on the 3rd floor of Coppice Kichijoji as food stands.
This year's event, the fourth in the series, will be held under the theme of "Oedo Mood.
Stores and organizations in Kichijoji will create an "oedo" atmosphere with decorations and costumes that match the theme. Of course, we will have plenty of entertainment unique to "Kichijoji Ennichi" this year as well.
Also, during the event period, you can enjoy special experiences if you attend the event in yukata, kimono, or other "Oedo" fashion.
You can also enjoy falconry, rakugo (traditional Japanese comic storytelling), and sword fighting shows, which you would otherwise not have a chance to witness.

Wear a yukata and have more fun! Participatory games to enjoy Oedo.
There will be attractions for everyone to enjoy at the venue, such as solving riddles and clearing missions by relying on the tiles on the flyer, and enjoying the coolness of ice water in a tub.
Also, from 6:00 p.m., "Grand Banquet Time" will be held (except the last day). (except for the last day) Some kitchen wagon stores will offer special discount drink menus and menus that can be enjoyed by everyone only during this time.
In addition, this year's Kichi George Ennichi, visitors who come dressed in yukata, kimono, or other "Oedo" fashion will have their pictures taken for free at the "Movin'Studio" booth, a mobile photo studio that appears and disappears as if by divine providence. You and your family or friends can come to the event in yukata and take a commemorative photo to celebrate this summer.
The festival will also feature a samurai sword fighting show, a falconry show, and other Japanese-style performances.
The theme of this year's festival is "Oedo," and you will be able to see a live performance of sword fighting, which was developed from the Edo period kabuki performance, and a show of falconry, which is said to have served noblemen in the past.
■Samurai Enbu Yukiba
Sometimes they are Shinsengumi, sometimes they are warlords, and sometimes they are samurai.
The show will feature a traditional Japanese performing art called "Killing Fist".
Killing sword is mainly chanbara or fighting performance in historical dramas.
You can enjoy performances by an unconventional sword fighting group, ranging from traditional kata to comedy.

■Taka-no-an
Takano-an, a falconry experience, will appear at Kichijo Ennichi.
A falconer is a person who builds a relationship of trust with a falcon and maneuvers a trained falcon for hunting by himself. In the Edo period (1603-1867), there was a profession of "falconer" under the direct control of the shogunate, a traditional cultural skill. The fun flight show performed by the children of falconers is also a must-see.

Oedo Yose Hut
A Yose hut will appear in a corner of Enninchi, where you can enjoy rakugo (traditional Japanese comic storytelling) for a throwaway fee.
In 2005, Shochu-tei, a group of actors active in the Kansai theatrical world who "do rakugo", makes its first appearance in Ennichi.
You can enjoy various kinds of Rakugo. Cute sweets will be available for sale in the Yose Hut, so you can enjoy rakugo while eating sweets.

The 4th Kichijo George's throat singing contest
We will do it again this year. This is a "throat singing contest" between contestants representing stores or groups in Kichijoji.
The contestants will sing their best songs in the streets of Kichijoji, and the audience will have a great time.

Ryunosuke Umehara is a graduate of Musashino Art University's Department of Visual Communication Design and a student of the Tokyo University of the Arts' Department of Advanced Art and Design. Ryunosuke Umehara, who is active as a visual artist using video, illustration, and animation, will decorate the inside of Coppice with visuals of Kichijo Ennichi with a pop and fantasy worldview.
