AEON Lake Town, one of the largest shopping malls in Japan (Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture), will hold the "Local Shaved Ice Festival 2025" for 11 days from August 7 (Thursday) to 17 (Sunday), 2025, under the theme of "encounters with various shaved ice from all over the world". The theme of the festival is "encounters with a variety of shaved ice from the East and West," starting with Japan's "natural ice" that has been around since the Meiji era, retro shaved ice from the Showa era, modern shaved ice from the Heisei and 2025 eras, and even local shaved ice from around the world. This gourmet event will offer visitors the opportunity to experience the diversity of shaved ice by presenting a lineup of shaved ice that transcends generations and regions. This year, a total of 9 stores will present 50 kinds of shaved ice in one place.

This year will be the 12th time the event has been held, and last year, 60,000 bowls of shaved ice were consumed during the event, making it one of the largest shaved ice events in Japan. This is a cool summer event in Koshigaya, one of the hottest areas in Japan, where you can feel delicious "coolness".
