Settle Marina Lake Biwa, a private resort with only 14 guest rooms, is nestled between Lake Biwa, Japan's largest lake, and the Hira mountain range. About CETRE Marina Biwako

CETRAY MARINA BIWAKO opened in September 2013 as the third CETRAY Marina Biwako in the Kansai region (14 guest rooms and restaurant) in Yanmar Sunset Marina, a marina representing Lake Biwa. Blessed with a location directly connected to Lake Biwa, a rarity in Shiga Prefecture, guests can enjoy the changing seasons of Lake Biwa and Mount Hira from the windows of all 14 rooms and throughout the hotel.

The hotel is built with natural materials such as wood, stone, and earth, so that guests can feel the change of seasons and the deep healing power of nature even inside the hotel. The museum's furniture was commissioned to be produced by Weiss Weiss, and original furniture made of wood from Shiga Prefecture has been installed.

The architectural design was created by Ryuichi Ashizawa, a Good Design Award winner and professor at the University of Shiga Prefecture, and the hotel has attracted attention for its environmentally regenerative site management in a natural garden inspired by the natural lakeshore of Lake Biwa in the past.

The hotel's restaurant offers dishes prepared with carefully selected ingredients that the chef himself sought out by visiting farmers and fishermen, and these have been well received.
