NUARL's Hi-Res Wired Earphones "NX1" Chapter 2 Fully remodeled with 2-pin specification

MTI Corporation (Location: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Keijie Zhang) announces the release of the NUARL NX1 "Chapter2 HDSS Hi-Res Stereo Earphone" (hereinafter "Chapter2"), a re-cableableable Hi-Res wired earphone with a magnesium housing and a unique single dynamic driver from its original brand "NUARL". The "Chapter2" is a high-end pure audio earphone that combines various technologies cultivated by NUARL. The unique φ10mm full-range single driver has been updated and mounted in a magnesium housing with a triple chamber structure and dual ETL specification HDSS. Furthermore, in response to market demand, the earphone's attached cable and connection terminals for re-cabling have been changed to a 2-pin specification, giving the earphones a new look and a full model change.

＜Product Features

New dynamic driver "NUARL DRIVER[N10]v5X2"(*2)

By increasing the material hardness of the φ10mm carbon nanotube composite diaphragm, which is also used in the previous model, the disturbance of frequency response that occurs in the ultra-high frequency range has been improved. The combination of the voice coil using 7N grade OCC (monocrystalline high-purity oxygen-free copper wire) and the powerful dual neodymium magnet magnetic circuit produces a high definition sound.

Magnesium housing

The body is made of magnesium alloy, a lightweight yet highly rigid material with low incidental noise, and is 5-axis CNC machined to create a combination of complex curves that cannot be achieved by casting or forging, thereby suppressing resonance inside the housing and creating a unique design that makes it easy to hold.

Thorough attention to sound quality

Before shipping, the products undergo 100 hours of aging to ensure uniform characteristics. The tonal nozzle is made of brass, and the resonance points are dispersed by using different materials for the chassis. For internal wiring and cable connections, the same Japanese-made 20% silver-containing Pb-free SnAgCu (tin-gindeau) solder is used as in higher-end models.

Dual ETL specification HDSS

HDSS, a patented acoustic technology of T.B.I. of the U.S., is used. By incorporating one 3rd generation ETL (Embedded Transmission Line) acoustic module for high frequency and one for low frequency into the housing, in-head localization, which is common in canal-type earphones, is prevented and a clear, three-dimensional sound spread is reproduced across the entire frequency range.

Triple chamber structure

A triple chamber structure is employed, with air chambers in the back module of the driver and in the front and back of the housing. This structure corrects the frequency characteristic disorder inherent in the material and spins the resonance smoothly from low to high frequencies.

■Selection of localization and volume

Interchangeable nozzles, a common standard for NUARL wired earphones, are newly adopted. 2-step tonal nozzles, one long and one short, are included to select the volume and localization of bass sounds below 500Hz.

Cable of the same grade as the high-end model

The included cable uses the same φ0.6mm 7 x 7-core silver-plated copper wire as the high-end "Overture" model, with a 4.4mm balanced connection and a highly reliable straight-type plug that prevents disconnection due to minute vibrations, making it ideal for use with a portable music player.

■NUARL's first re-cableable with 2-pin connection

The cable connection terminal on the earphone side features an IEM 2-pin (0.78mm) compatible connector for the first time. Commercially available cables of various wire types can also be used.

Two types of silicone earpieces included

Two types of earpieces with different lengths, "Block Ear+6n" and "Block Ear+7," are included to provide both comfort and sound insulation. You can use them according to your preference of fit and sound quality.

Semi-hard type earphone case included

A round earphone case made of PU is included for easy carrying.

Akihiro Momozaki (by BATTLES DESIGN) was appointed as the product designer.

While giving them the elegance and weight that are appropriate for playing outstandingly good sound, the simple and neutral NUARL-like atmosphere has also been firmly retained.

Trade-up service

Trade-up service from other NUARL earphones is available. You can exchange your existing NUARL earphones for "Chapter 2" for a fee. (We will accept this service at the official NUARL store as soon as it is ready.)

Peace of Mind in Case of Emergencies

In the event of loss of one side of the earphone, failure not covered by warranty (damage/failure caused by external factors such as dropping or submersion in water), or expiration of warranty, NUARL Care is available to purchase a new pair of the same product at a lower price on the condition that the product is replaced with the remaining product on hand. (Accepted at the official NUARL website*3)
