SPACE & CREATOR
Asami Goto will exhibit her works in a solo exhibition format at "Espace Privée (solo exhibition section)," a special event within the "26th World Exhibition of Contemporary Art from France and Japan 2025 - Salon d'Automne Special Support" to be held at the National Art Center, Tokyo in August, 2025.
In this exhibition, he will present new works using his original expression technique "Geometric Embroidery + Sumi Ink Art".
Geometric embroidery + sumi ink art work size:1167×1820mm
This technique, which combines the abstract composition of sumi ink and the precise geometric patterns of embroidery, has been sublimated into an expression that is not only visually appealing, but also quietly resonates with the inner senses and signs of time.
This technique is also influenced by the sense of materials and aesthetics derived from Japanese-style painting, and this inspiration is reflected especially in the treatment of sumi ink and the expression of light such as gold leaf.
In recent years, his unique composition of materials and expression techniques have gradually been attracting attention from both domestic and international exhibitions and art professionals.
Currently, he is passing on these techniques to younger artists, sharing his unique artistic vision while also focusing on fostering the next generation.
The overall theme of his works is to visualize "invisible phenomena" such as sound, consciousness, and frequencies of the natural world, and his composition of fabric, thread, and ink is intended to gently affect the depths of the viewer's mind.

Artist Statement
In the "silence" where neither sound nor words exist, there dwells a deep presence that we tend to overlook.
I use geometrical embroidery and ink, a technique that marks time, to capture this presence, and then gently inscribe it on the fabric.
My work is also a process of contemplative search to visualize invisible echoes.
