HAKUCHIKUDO (Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto; CEO: Noriyuki Yamaoka), a long-established Kyoto fan maker established in 1718, will hold an art exhibition "KAIKO: Exhibition of Fans by Seven Artists" from Friday, July 11, 2025, focusing on fans (works drawn on fans).
KAIKOU: Exhibition of Fans by Seven Artists
KAIKOU" means "chance encounter" or "fateful meeting," and we chose this title as a place where the artists' personalities and sensitivities intersect.
This is a special exhibition in which seven artists reinterpret the traditional Japanese art form of the fan mask from the perspective of contemporary art, creating unique works of art.
