MICHAIL GKINIS AOYAMA, a brand by Greek artist/designer Michail Gkinis and producer Yuko Gkinis Aoyama, who studied fashion in London, was fascinated by the beauty of Japanese fabrics and has transmitted them to the world. The Coat Stole [registered design], one of the "Wearable Art Stole" series that transcends the boundary between stoles and clothes, has evolved further by using parts that also transcend the boundary between interior design and fashion.

The Coat Stole [registered design], which won the worldwide design award "DFA AWARD 2021," is one of the brand's popular items that can be worn in six different ways, not only as a stole but also as a blouson or gilet. The idea is to share the cushion cover with the kimono sleeve parts of the "Kimono Coat Stole," which can be transformed into a kimono coat by attaching the kimono sleeve parts [partial design pending] with a zip to a conventional Coat Stole.

A wide variety of materials are available, including man-made vegan leather  and next-generation knitwear from Wakayama Prefecture, a rarity in the world, which is stretchable and can be cut off (left uncut). The products are made of Japan's world-class precious materials and sewn in Japan.

At the Tokyo Todoroki flag shop, customers can request their favorite shades, and the designer, Michail Gkinis, will work with them to create a fabric combination that will be made to order.
