Chotoya Corporation (President: Hiroyuki Kato) will hold the grand opening of a pudding specialty store "Matsushima Pudding Pavilion" in Matsushima-cho, Miyagi County, Miyagi Prefecture, on Monday, May 26, 2025.
Founded in 1929, the company has been engaged in the planning and development of tourist souvenirs for nearly 100 years. We will develop a new business under our direct management to introduce the charms of Matsushima, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan, through sweets, by taking advantage of our manufacturing attitude of "being flexible and prompt, and being close to customers and the times.
Matsushima Pudding
A variety of puddings, including Zunda-flavored pudding and pudding with a motif of Date Masamune, are available.
Matsushima Pudding Pavilion, located in Matsushima, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan, has been repeatedly trying to create a pudding with a smooth texture that melts in your mouth the moment you put it in your mouth. The recipe is fine-tuned every morning according to the temperature and humidity, using only the finest Japanese cream and the finest Madagascar vanilla beans. Our staff handmakes each biscuit in the store to ensure a smooth and uncompromising "melt-in-your-mouth" texture.
We will sell a variety of puddings including "Matsushima Pudding (Zunda)," a local sweet unique to Matsushima, and "Matsushima Pudding (Date Masamune)," which is inspired by the black armor of Date Masamune.
We hope that our puddings will attract many visitors from outside the prefecture to Matsushima, one of Japan's three most scenic spots, which is rich in nature and history, and that this will further enliven the local community.

Matsushima Pudding Pudding Pavilion's pudding is made with the highest quality domestically produced fresh cream, and we are constantly pursuing a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
We have reviewed the composition and heat settings many times to achieve a smooth texture and mellow flavor. The soft aroma that spreads softly in your mouth will bring a smile to your face.
(2) No preservatives added, using only the finest ingredients
In order to ensure both food safety and taste, Matsushima Pudding Pavilion uses no preservatives and carefully selected ingredients such as domestic eggs, milk, and fresh cream. The simple formula maximizes the gentle flavor of the ingredients. By using uncompromisingly selected ingredients, we have created a pudding that can be enjoyed with peace of mind by everyone from small children to the elderly.
(3) The key to flavor! Using the finest natural vanilla beans
In order to pursue a genuine aroma and taste, Matsushima Pudding Pavilion lavishly uses the finest natural vanilla beans from Madagascar, which cost several tens of thousands of yen per kilogram.
When you open the lid, the elegant sweet aroma of vanilla beans spreads softly.
We have achieved a simple yet luxurious flavor without relying on flavoring.
(4) Commitment to In-Store Manufacturing
At Matsushima Pudding Pavilion, all puddings are handmade in the in-store workshop.
We carefully adjust the puddings according to temperature and humidity to ensure that they always taste the same.
With the belief that "freshly made pudding is the best," we put our heart and soul into every pudding we make every day, so that you can feel the warmth of the pudding makers and the climate of Matsushima every time you taste it.
