Kurashiki City (Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture), in cooperation with six cities and three towns (Niimi City, Takahashi City, Soja City, Hayashima Town, Yakage Town, Ibara City, Asakuchi City, Satosho Town, and Kasaoka City) in the Takahashi River Basin Cooperative Core City Area, will hold "How to Start Migration to Okayama" on June 14 (Saturday), 2025, at "Hometown Return Support Center Seminar Room" on the 8th floor of Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
The seminar will introduce the attractions of the municipality, and invite current immigration advisors and senior immigrants to give advice to prospective immigrants living in the Tokyo area on "how to find a house before moving" and "how to get involved with the local community after moving to Oyama".

This seminar is designed for those who are considering moving to Kurashiki City and other municipalities in the Takahashi River basin, or those who have just begun to consider moving to the region. By providing information to participants, the event is designed to eliminate any doubts or concerns that prospective emigrants may have and to facilitate their activities toward emigration.

First Steps Toward Emigration" by an active emigration advisor
Lecturer: Mr. Rehei Matsuda, Niimi City Migration Advisor
Mr. Matsuda, who has worked for the Regional Development Cooperation Volunteers and is now an active Niimi City emigration advisor, will give a lecture on what you need to know and what you need to check before starting your emigration activities.

Mr. Rehei Matsuda (Niimi City Immigration Advisor)
Mr. Matsuda moved to Niimi City from Fukuoka Prefecture as a member of the Regional Development Cooperation Volunteers and revived eelgrass farming, which was once a thriving livelihood in the area. After completing his activities, he established a non-profit organization to support immigration to Niimi City while developing several businesses. She has been making efforts to support immigrants to the city.
Ms. Yumi Sugimori
After giving birth to her second child, her husband suggested that she consider moving to Niimi City. She was attracted by the calmness of Takahashi City, which is close to her hometown, and consulted with the immigration concierge about her house, neighborhood association, school, etc. Her anxiety about immigration was dispelled and she decided to move to Takahashi City.
Mr. Tsuyoshi Inaba
After graduating from university, Mr. Inaba worked for a toy and game company in Tokyo. After raising his children, he moved to Kurashiki City, where it was easier to visit his wife's hometown and the weather was better. Since moving to Kurashiki, he has been running a café and organizing workshop events in collaboration with the local community and city government.
