Various campaigns and stamp rallies will be held from June 1 to coincide with the melting of Mikurigaike Pond, a spectacular view that is the pride of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route!

The snow will soon melt at Mikuriga-ike Pond, one of the most beautiful sights along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route (operated by Tateyama Kurobe Kanko Co., Ltd.; head office: Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture), a world-class mountain tourism route linking Toyama and Nagano Prefectures. Usually by mid-July, the entire surface of the lake appears and the surrounding mountains can be seen reflected on the surface of the lake.

In conjunction with the melting of the snow, a limited edition card distribution campaign and stamp rally will be held from June 1, 2025 (Sunday).

Mikurigaike Pond is located within a 10-15 minute walk from the Murodo Terminal, the highest point on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, and is said to be the most beautiful volcanic lake in the Northern Alps. The view of the majestic mountains reflected on the surface of the lake is breathtakingly beautiful.

Starting on May 14 (Wed.), "snow melting information" on Mikuriga-ike will be distributed weekly on the official website and SNS.

In conjunction with the melting of the snow at Mikurigaike, from June 1, 2025 (Sunday), a campaign to obtain a limited-edition card at Mikurigaike Onsen (hot springs) will be held under the title "Let's go and see Mikurigaike! Mikurigaike! and "Original Postcard Stamp Rally" and "Wolf Children's Exhibition" will be held. It is also recommended to enjoy gourmet foods such as "Mikurigaike Soft" at Murodo Terminal Coffee Shop and "Blueberry Soft" at Mikurigaike Onsen (hot spring) together.

What is the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route?

The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is a world-class mountain tourism route in Tateyama, Chubu-Sangaku National Park. Visitors can easily enjoy the spectacular views of the 3,000-meter-high Tateyama Mountain Range and Kurobe Dam by taking one of six different vehicles, including cable cars, buses, and ropeways, between Tateyama Station in Toyama Prefecture and Ogisawa Station in Nagano Prefecture.
