■Minority of people use cool bedding!

When 300 men and women nationwide were asked if they had ever used cool bedding, 37.3% said they had. Another 21.3% said they were interested but had never used it. With summer heat getting hotter each year, it seems that not a few people are considering or trying cool bedding.

When those who have used cool bedding were asked about their level of satisfaction, 41.1% responded "very satisfied" or "satisfied," indicating that 40% of respondents felt the effects were as expected. However, the most common response was "normal" at 43.8%, followed by "somewhat dissatisfied" and "very dissatisfied. Some 15.2% of the respondents were "somewhat dissatisfied" or "very dissatisfied.

Looking at the comments of those who rated their cool bedding as "normal" or lower, the most common complaint was that the coolness did not last long: "It is not cool at first" (65 yrs old, male, Chiba) and "I only feel cool for the first 10 minutes" (56 yrs old, female, Yamagata).

On the other hand, it is interesting to note that many of those who were "satisfied" with the cool bedding rated the comfort of the bedding highly.
