Cherry blossoms and Seiro tea soba
■Features of the restaurant
*A restaurant on the banks of the Uji River where you can feel the four seasons
With an open space with all-glass walls and a panoramic view of the Uji River from the counter, the restaurant offers satoyama cuisine and coarse-ground soba noodles matched with satoyama scenery, allowing diners to experience the changing seasons of Uji, such as cherry blossoms in spring, fresh greenery in summer, autumn leaves in fall, and snowy landscape in winter.
There are 8 seats at the counter, 12 seats on the floor, 8 seats in a semi-private room facing the Uji River, and 20 seats in a tatami room (table and chairs OK) facing the Uji River for groups, so large meetings and bus tour lunches are possible.

*Soba made with coarsely ground stone
The stone-ground buckwheat noodles are made from "Ryuoh-no-sato," buckwheat noodles harvested in Ryuoh Town, Shiga Prefecture. The coarse-ground buckwheat noodles are made a little thicker with a strong flavor. On the other hand, the tea buckwheat noodles are made with tea leaves from Uji, and are thin and smooth. No chemical seasonings or food additives are used in the kaeshi soy sauce or broth, so you can enjoy safe and flavorful soba noodles.
Seiro Soba Noodles
A scenic spot with a World Heritage Site
The main restaurant is a 17-minute walk from JR Uji Station, adjacent to the long-established ryokan "Hanayashiki Ukifuneen" and located in the middle of Uji, the setting of the Tale of Genji, and one of Kyoto's most popular tourist spots, with the World Heritage Site "Byodoin Phoenix Hall," shrines and temples full of historical romance, the Amakase Dam and tea fields of Uji-Tawara. Uji tea, cormorant fishing, and the Tale of Genji Museum are just a few of the many emotional contents available in a place where you can stroll on foot after your meal.
