Grand opening of "Roadside Station Benihana no Sato Okegawa" on March 27 (Thu.) at 11:00 a.m!
A "food theme park" that showcases the charms of Okegawa, an inn town
Access from Tokyo is only one hour! Located approximately 700 meters from the Okegawa Kitamoto Interchange on the Ken-O Expressway, this facility is Okegawa City's first roadside station along the Ueo Road, National Route 17. Okegawa City has long flourished as a post town along the Nakasendo Highway, where people and goods gathered. Okegawa has a long history of hospitality through food, as evidenced by its thriving production of safflower, known as "Okegawa rouge," and its development as one of the Kanto region's leading breadbasket areas through the development of new rice paddies. The concept of this project is "to connect "food" and "people" in Okegawa, where hospitality and warmth dwell, with humanity and vitality.
The south side of the main building is a sales area selling fresh local vegetables, fruits, livestock, marine products, processed foods, souvenirs, prepared foods, and boxed lunches, and the north side of the main building has a total of three restaurants using mainly local ingredients, an onigiri specialty restaurant, and a soft serve & crepe store, with a total of about 140 seats. The main building has a dining area with about 140 seats. As a "food theme park," it offers a variety of "delicious foods" from Okegawa and Saitama, including local and prefectural agricultural products, gourmet foods using mainly local ingredients, and original souvenirs, and will be crowded with many people, just like the Okegawa Gion Festival, with "wasshoi, wasshoi! Our goal is to create a place where many people can connect with each other with smiles on their faces.
