Atami Bataan (located in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture), a specialty store specializing in sweet bean paste and butter with a blend of Japanese and Western sweets, will hold a "Big Thanks Event" for three days only from Saturday, March 22 to Monday, March 24, 2025, to celebrate the cumulative sales of its signature product, Atami Bataan Pan, which has surpassed one million units.

The signature product "Atami Bataa Anpan" is very popular for its "Anko (red bean paste) filling and melted butter.

Opened in August 2021, the store was created in collaboration with Mataichi An, a long-established Japanese-style confectionery store that has represented Shizuoka since its establishment in 1871, and specializes in anko (red bean paste) and butter, a blend of Japanese and Western sweets. The most popular item is the "Atami Bataan Anpan", which combines homemade red bean paste made from Hokkaido Erimo azuki beans and mild butter, which has been passed down at Mataichi An for more than 150 years. In November 2024, the total number of "Atami Bataa Anpan" sold exceeded 1 million pieces!

We have planned a "Great Thanks Event" to express our gratitude to our customers for their patronage.

～The Atami Bata-an is a sweet blend of Japanese and Western sweets made with homemade red bean paste and butter, which has been passed down from Mataichian for 150 years.

In the past, Atami was visited by political figures, literary giants, scholars, and other up-and-coming people, who brought new cultures into the city, and Atami has developed by harmonizing Japanese and Western cultures. It is precisely because Atami is such a place that we opened our shop in the Nakamise shopping arcade in front of Atami Station in August 2021, with the hope of developing sweets that evoke the vitality of civilization and civilization.
