Mikuriga-ike Pond, one of the representative beauties of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.
Mikuriga-ike Pond is located within a 15-minute walk from the Murodo Terminal (in the direction of Murododaira) as well as the Yuki-no-Otani area. Mikurigaike is said to be the most beautiful volcanic lake in the Northern Alps, and the reflection of the majestic mountains on the surface of the lake is breathtakingly beautiful.

Murodou-daira and Mikurigaike (around July)
Mikurigaike Pond is completely covered with snow in spring (around April), but as the snow melts over the summer, the beautiful surface of the lake begins to appear in July. The area around the pond is also home to a clump of alpine pine trees, which are the home of grouse, so there is a good chance of spotting grouse.
The promotional video released today, March 13 (Thu.), introduces the spectacular seasonal views of Tateyama Kurobe centering on Mikurigaike Pond, accompanied by refreshing music.
