Urawa Jitsugyo Gakuen High School ("Urawa Jitsugyo"), an affiliated school of Urawa University (located in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture), has been selected to participate for the first time in the 97th National High School Baseball Tournament, which will begin on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, and will play in the third game on Saturday, March 22, the fifth day of the tournament.

Urawa Jitsugyo will be making its first appearance in the Koshien Tournament in both spring and summer. In order to send our support to the hardball team, which will be challenging the Koshien stage for the first time with all its might, we have opened a support site on the Urawa Jitsugyo website.

About Urawa Jitsugyo Hardball Club

Founded in April 1975. Manager: Masahiko Tsujikawa, Number of members: 77 (as of Tuesday, March 11, 2025). Since its establishment, 77 members from inside and outside of Saitama Prefecture have been practicing hard every day.

In the fall of 2024, the team won the Saitama Prefectural Tournament, defeating a strong school in the prefecture despite being unseeded, and in the fall Kanto Tournament, the team's first appearance in 24 years since 2000, the team showed its momentum by making it to the top four.

On Friday, January 24, the team was notified by the Japan High School Baseball Federation that it would be participating in the 97th National High School Baseball Tournament, thus marking the team's first appearance in Koshien since its establishment half a century ago. The members of the hardball team also witnessed the announcement, and after the announcement, they were all smiles and happy, but also braced themselves for their performance in the tournament.

■Call for Donations

In January 2025, we started accepting donations for various expenses related to the tournament so that the hardball team can concentrate on playing as a team and achieve the best results possible.
