In this survey, Emirates Airlines received 104 votes to take first place, far ahead of the other airlines. Foreign airlines from the Middle East and Asia such as Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, and Cathay Pacific also ranked high, indicating a growing emphasis on career development in an English-speaking environment.
(3) Based on the popularity ranking of foreign capital
Middle Eastern airlines are gaining recognition in Japan, with many current and former CAs communicating through SNS and other means.
In addition, among foreign airlines in Asia, Cathay Pacific is gaining popularity and has a reputation for being easy to work for. Some Sky Academy graduates are currently working as cabin attendants (CA) for Cathay Pacific, and the airline is highly regarded as an airline with a very high level of satisfaction.
(4) Japanese airlines such as JAL and ANA also enjoy strong popularity!
Among domestic airlines, JAL (61 votes) and ANA (53 votes) ranked high. Stable career path," "acquisition of uniquely Japanese customer service skills," and "long-term working environment" were cited as the most attractive features of Japanese airlines.
In addition, ANA and JAL were ranked 4th (3rd in the previous year) and 6th (5th in the previous year), respectively, in the overall ranking of the "Top 10 Airlines in the World 2024" released by SKYTRAX, an airline rating company. We found that many people yearn to become cabin attendants (CA) for Japanese airlines, which are highly attractive even from a global perspective.
3. skills required of CA aspirants and points for career development
Based on the results of this survey, it is predicted that those who aspire to become CAs will be increasingly required to "improve their English skills," have an "international mindset," and be "highly adaptable. English interview preparation and cross-cultural understanding will be especially important for those who aim to work for a foreign airline.
For example, at Emirates Airlines, you will work with crews from more than 140 different nationalities. And they fly to more than 150 destinations around the world. Aspiring CAs working in such an environment need to be flexible and adaptable.
