Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route (operated by Tateyama Kurobe Kanko Co., Ltd., headquartered in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture), one of the world's leading mountain tourism routes connecting Toyama and Nagano Prefectures, will start advance sales of tickets for some sections on its Internet ticket sales service "WEB Ticket" on February 28, 2025 (Friday). Regular sales for all other routes are scheduled to begin on March 14 (Fri.).

What is a "Web Ticket"?
Web Ticket" is a convenient ticket that allows passengers to make reservations in advance for the train departing from Tateyama Station and Ogisawa, and to easily pick up the ticket at an automatic ticket machine. In addition, the "Train Eco Ticket," which allows passengers to use Toyama Chiho Railway without having to worry about parking, will be newly available this year, contributing to the reduction of environmental burdens and the revitalization of regional transportation.

About the Tateyama Kurobe Photo Contest #Tatekuro Photo Contest
The #Tatekuro Photo Contest, which is held every year, is a photo contest that invites entries of "theme-based photos" taken along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route and announces the winning photos to widely convey the real attractions of Tateyama from the visitors' viewpoint. This year's contest, the 10th since its inception, received 10 awards out of a total of 991 entries.

The "Serious Alpine Route Award" was selected by photographer Yasto Inagaki, an ambassador of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, and includes a work taken at Kurobe-daira, a pond in summer with a refreshing cool feeling, a work that captures the clear autumn sky and autumn leaves, and a work that bids farewell to the trolley bus that ended its service last year. The other works were also selected to bid farewell to the trolley buses, which ceased operation last year. All the winning works are now available on the Tatekuro Photo Contest website.
The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route begins in spring with the silvery world, continues into summer, when it is about 15°C cooler than the plain, and ends in autumn, when the autumn leaves begin to turn early and can be enjoyed for a long period of time! What is the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route?
The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is one of the world's most famous mountain tourism routes in Tateyama, Chubu-Sangaku National Park. Visitors can easily enjoy the spectacular views of the 3,000-meter-high Tateyama Mountain Range and Kurobe Dam by taking one of six different vehicles, including cable cars, buses, and ropeways, between Tateyama Station in Toyama Prefecture and Ogisawa Station in Nagano Prefecture.
Operating period in 2025 (tentative): April 15 (Tuesday) to November 30 (Sunday)
*Tateyama Tunnel Electric Bus will be in operation from April 15, 2025.
