A scene from the previous performance (1)
This is a barrier-free concert series started in 2021 so that people who normally have difficulty in coming to concerts can casually enjoy music. With the cooperation of supporting and cooperating organizations, we have introduced various types of viewing support and reviewed staging in an effort to provide a better viewing environment. The barrier-free measures of this series, which are rare for a project sponsored by a public facility, have attracted attention, and each time the series is held, people from cultural facilities across the country visit the facilities to observe the performances.
This year, the "SOUND HUG," a device developed by media artist Yoichi Ochiai and his team, was introduced for the first time. With a total of 16 other types of viewing support, the concert is being creatively designed to be enjoyable for all audiences.
The performers are Eri Unoki, soprano, Kenichi Nakagawa, piano, and Miho Kamiya, violin. Two completely different music lineups will be offered. The morning "Barrier-Free Concert for Parents and Children" combines music, hand games, and picture books for an exciting and enjoyable viewing experience. In the afternoon, "Barrier-Free Concerts for Adults," we will present a wide range of music, from classical to popular, that is sure to be a great listening experience. The performance also includes a sign language lecture corner to help participants deepen mutual understanding and broaden their perspectives.
What are the 16 kinds of support for appreciation? The contents may be subject to change.

What is SOUND HUG?
SOUND HUG(2)
SOUND HUG" is a spherical device that allows the audience to feel music visually and tactilely by hugging it. By mixing the sound of an entire piece of music and the sound of a specific instrument and playing it back through the vibration speaker built into the sphere, you can feel the vibrations of the music through your sense of touch. SOUND HUG offers a completely new musical experience that allows people to enjoy music not only with their ears, but also with their bodies, regardless of whether they are deaf or hard of hearing.
SOUND HUG" is a trademark of Pixie Dust Technologies, Inc.
