A film festival for viewing horror short films from around the world will be March 20 at KANSUKE, Hon Atsugi

TRASHBOOKS (Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Kentaro Sugimoto), a publisher of literary and other books, will hold the "2nd Higashi Koenji International Film Festival in Daiatsugi" on March 20, 2025 (Thursday, holiday) at the sake bar KANSUKE in Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The festival will be held on March 20, 2025. A total of 16 films produced by 13 countries including Japan will be screened at one time!

Festival posters by Saburo Kirigakure will be displayed in restaurants in Atsugi City.

What is the Higashi Koenji International Film Festival?

The first festival will be held in June 2024 at Tamari Bar in Higashi Koenji as a horror/short film festival where you can eat and drink. After the first festival, we decided to hold the second and subsequent festivals in various locations throughout Japan based on the idea that "Higashi Koenji" has become a concept. This project became an international exchange to learn about the world through horror films and to reconsider the concept of the city.
