Showa Gakuen High School Symphonic Band Crowdfunding now underway! Unique Returns for Marching Stage National Tournament Expedition

The Showa Gakuen High School Symphonic Band will participate in the Marching Stage National Convention (sponsored by the Japan Marching Band Association) to be held on February 15, 2025 (Saturday) at Kanagawa Kenmin Hall.

A video posted on Instagram last May of the band playing "Light of the Fireflies" on recorders to encourage students to return home garnered over 9 million views, and a subsequent video of the band arranging "Light of the Fireflies" by their advisor garnered over 12.5 million views.

With the help of many cheering supporters from all over the country, we practiced hard, and for the second year in a row, we were able to make it through the Kyushu preliminary round of the Marching Stage National Competition and challenge the national competition.

However, the cost of the expedition was expensive, exceeding 2.8 million yen, and there was a limit to how much each individual could bear, so we decided to take the plunge into crowdfunding this time.

The brass band members and their advisors are working hard to reduce the individual burden while preparing unique return gifts.
