In order to create a new spot for visitors to enjoy Hishino Onsen in winter, ice poles were created on the cliffs of Tokiwa-ga-ike Pond, where visitors can take pictures and stroll around, and at night the ice poles are lit up to create a fantastic scene for taking pictures and enjoying the scenery.

In addition, with the cooperation of the Komoro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Young Men's Club, lanterns used in the "Autumn Lanterns in Komoro" held every fall at Otemon Park in Komoro City and Komoro Castle Site Kaiko-en will be set up. Bright lights will illuminate the winter night of this historic hot spring resort.

About Hishino Onsen

The source of the hot spring is said to have been discovered by Bazaiji in 1191, and it was opened as a hot spring resort in 1617 by the order of Tadamasa Sengoku of the Komoro domain.

In 2023, an outdoor sauna facility, SaunaSpaceTOJIBA, was opened, and in 2024, the hot spring "Kumojo-no-Teppanjo" was opened, which is reached by a mountain climbing train.
