Message from the Great East Japan Earthquake Memorial - Prayer Fireworks in Takeoka Executive Committee
We would like to express our deepest sympathy to the victims of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of 2024. We pray from the bottom of our hearts for the safety of all those affected and that they will be able to return to a peaceful life as soon as possible.
On Saturday, March 8, 2025, 14 years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, a memorial event will be held in the Takeoka area of Futtsu City, organized by the "Great East Japan Earthquake Memorial - Prayer Fireworks in Takeoka - Executive Committee". We would like to express our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the disaster and their bereaved families. We would also like to express our deepest sympathy to all those affected by the disaster. Knowing that a major disaster can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time, it is necessary to prepare for disasters with family and friends, and to think about what to do when a disaster occurs. It is necessary to pass on the sadness and lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake to the generations who did not experience the disaster and to the children who will be born in the future, without letting the memories of the disaster fade away. As we can expect more major disasters in the future, I think it is important to utilize the experiences and lessons of the Great East Japan Earthquake once again. It is important that we continue to remember the people in the disaster-stricken areas who suffered tremendous damage, and to pass on the memories and lessons of the Great East Japan Earthquake to the future.
