A special tour of ramen history in Sapporo is now available! A Story of Taste Traced Back to the Original

Hokkaido Takarajima Travel Agency, Inc. has launched the "Ultimate Sapporo Ramen Experience Tour" with a private guide to enjoy the history and taste of Sapporo ramen.

This tour is designed for foreign travelers to enjoy Sapporo ramen in styles from the original to the new type, and at the second restaurant, "Ramen Sapporo Ichibokuan" (operated by Gracias Co., Ltd.) will offer special hospitality.

Highlights of the tour

Starting from the famous "Sapporo TV Tower," an English-speaking guide who is familiar with Sapporo will take you to two famous restaurants from "Darumaken" in Nijo Market to "Ramen Sapporo Ichibokuan" near Sapporo Station.

First restaurant: Daruma-ken

The original Sapporo ramen shop has been in business for more than 70 years. With the noodle-making machine and recipe that have been handed down since the restaurant's opening, it has built the history of Sapporo ramen. Here you can enjoy light soy sauce ramen.

2nd: Ramen Sapporo Ichibokuan

This restaurant started in the original Sapporo Ramen Yokocho in the Susukino district and now has a branch near Sapporo Station, where customers have been waiting in line for 20 years. Based on the concepts of "Ichigo-Ichigai," "local production for local consumption," and "Iryoku Dogen," the restaurant features more than 90% of the ingredients it uses are Hokkaido ingredients. The tour includes the signature dish "Energetic Miso Ramen (small)" and Hokkaido wine or beer. The owner of the ramen restaurant, who is also a former brewer and sommelier, will recommend a carefully selected pairing.

The owner himself will explain the charm of Hokkaido and Sapporo ramen, as well as the secret story behind the development of the signature dish "Energetic Miso Ramen" and the secret of its nutrients. As a brewer and sommelier, he will also introduce the characteristics of Hokkaido beers and wines in detail.
