Story of PCB ART moeco
Hiroki Kitayama, the second generation owner of a small factory, has lived above his family's factory since he was in the second grade of elementary school, and spent his childhood watching the changes in PCBs, miniaturization of components, and mounting methods. He spent his childhood helping the family business and appreciating circuit boards as toys. He joined the family business, but when he saw how the subcontracting work was rapidly leaking overseas due to the strong yen, he decided to break away from 100% subcontracting work. While working, he studied business administration in graduate school and launched a prototype PCB business in 2008. Then, in 2014, his ambition to have PCB goods led him to launch "PCB art goods PCB ART moeco" and the Tokyo circuit diagram he designed himself became a hit. The slogan is "A PCB is a perfectly calculated art. The artistry of the PCB has been recognized and is sold in museum stores.
PCB ART moeco is a PCB art sundries using the PCB design and manufacturing technology, equipment, and design capabilities of our main business. We use CAD for printed circuit boards to design and mount (solder) electronic components on real PCBs. We design the CAD in-house and mount the components on the surface mounting line at our main factory, which is used in our main business. The board CAD that designs the board is not design software, so lines are drawn one by one with the mouse. The iPhone case and IC card case are not only elaborately designed, but also feature a circuit that allows LEDs to light up via radio waves. The circuit that makes LEDs glow with radio waves is patented in 2020 (patent number 6667777).
The place that used to be my childhood home is now a factory, and the area is four times larger than it was then.
What was good about the PCB ART moeco business
The recognition of Denshi Gihan has increased as a result of appearing on 26 TV programs and being featured on the web and in various media. In the days of 100% subcontracted work, media exposure was zero. Increased media exposure improves the image of the company to traditional clients and all stakeholders, and increased awareness has a positive impact on new clients. PCB ART moeco, a one-of-a-kind product, was able to obtain subsidies that our main business could not. We have been contracted to design circuit boards for a major pharmaceutical company, and we have been holding paid workshops on a regular basis.
In addition, "compliments," which cannot be obtained through subcontract work, have boosted motivation within the company. The unique approach has had a positive impact on recruitment and has been effective in attracting young human resources. Employees in their 20s account for 50% of the employees. pcb art moeco is responsible for the revitalization and branding of electronic technology sales.
PCB ART notebook
Product Features
This is a massive notebook with two real PCBs (188 x 122 x 1.6 mm) on the front and back covers. The notebook and red seal book are designed from scratch (the notebook and red seal book have the same design). The notebook is a playful moeco original with a subtle design of "Tokyo Circuit Diagram" on the front cover and "Kansai Circuit Diagram" on the back cover.
We commissioned a bookbinding company in Tokyo to bind the book. Craftsmen carefully attach the substrate to each notebook one by one. The book is bound in Codex binding, which allows the book to open very easily to the end of the spine, so it can be kept open without having to be held down by hand. Menuet High White" is used for the text paper. The ink from autograph pens, brush pens, and fountain pens does not easily bleed through, and the ink flash (a phenomenon in which the ink appears to sparkle depending on how the light hits it) can be enjoyed. The surface of the paper is not too flat, making pencil writing comfortable. All pages are plain, so they can be used in any way the user desires.

The notebook and red seal book are designed from scratch (the notebook and red seal book have the same design). The front cover and back cover of this red seal book feature "Tokyo Circuit Diagram" and "Kansai Circuit Diagram," respectively, in a playful and original design by moeco.
The binding was commissioned to a red seal book manufacturer in Shiga Prefecture. Craftsmen carefully attach the substrate to each book one by one. The book is made of thick, non-staining Housho-gami, which is produced using a traditional method. The paper is bound in 11 piles, and 48 sides can be used in total. It can be used beautifully whether you write your mark directly on the paper at the seal collection point or paste it in later after receiving a red seal.

PCB Art Mame-dai (Mame-dish)
This Minoyaki Mame-dish is a Minoyaki substrate art with glittering gold and delicate line expression.
In cooperation with a Minoyaki potter, we paid close attention to every detail in the expression of the substrate. After meeting in Gifu Prefecture, the wiring of the circuit board is expressed with fine lines, which is the limit of what can be expressed in pottery.
The plated parts are made of gold with a content rate of 92%, and when light hits them, they reflect beautifully just like real substrates.
Wiring and silk lines have a minimum line width of 0.16 mm, pushing the limits of what can be clearly seen without interruption. The full edge is covered with color, giving the appearance that the substrate has become a plate as it is, and adding color to the dining table.
Since this product is made of gold (92% content), it cannot be used in ovens, microwave ovens, or dishwashers. In addition, printed circuit boards are not used.
