Oshin Dream Co., Ltd. and Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture (Mayor: Shuichi Umeda) signed a "Comprehensive Collaborative Agreement on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles" on December 18, 2024 (Wednesday). Through this agreement, the two cities will effectively utilize their respective resources to launch a public-private partnership aimed at the development of local communities and sustainable growth.

Background and Objectives

Oshin Dream has been developing educational projects and community revitalization projects through drones under the corporate philosophy of "nation building is people building. Meanwhile, Kuki City in Saitama Prefecture is one of the most important logistics centers in the Kanto region, with interchanges on the Tohoku Expressway and Ken-O Expressway. The logistics industry is facing a serious labor shortage nationwide, and there is a need to introduce new labor-saving solutions such as drone logistics. In Saitama Prefecture, Chichibu City has been selected as an area to develop a "drone route" in 2024 as part of the "Early Harvest Project" under the government's "National Council for the Realization of Comprehensive Digital Lifeline Development".

Under this agreement, Oshin Dream and Kuki City will use drones to develop local communities and work toward sustainable growth while taking advantage of regional characteristics. By effectively utilizing their respective resources and contributing to the resolution and development of local issues through drone education and drone-related human resource development, together they will open up new possibilities for local communities.

Expected Results

A wide range of results are expected from this agreement, including educational support for young people who will lead the next generation, such as drone education, growth of local industry, and improvement of the quality of life for residents. In addition, a school (a registered training organization approved by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) will be established for the acquisition of national drone certification, utilizing facilities in Kuki City, and will be operated by Oshin Dream as the "Oshin Drone School Saitama". Oshin Dream will further contribute to the revitalization of the Kuki City area through the establishment of a drone base in Kuki City.
