About ESP32:
ESP32 is a microcontroller developed by Espressif Systems and released in 2016, and has gained worldwide popularity as an Arduino-compatible microcontroller with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communication functions.
However, because there are few development environments for younger age, so it was still rarely used for children.
About KidsScript:
KidsScript is a language environment application developed by us, which was released in beta in 2016, and released with a web and mobile version in 2021.
It is a text language compatible with JavaScript that can be manipulated as visual blocks, and has an established reputation as a learning environment for transitioning from visual programming to text languages for younger children.
How to use ESP32 from KidsScript:
You will need a PC only once to write "KidsScript firmware" to ESP32.
After that, you can code ESP32 directly from KidsScript application.
There are many samples available for beginners, making it suitable for introductory electronic crafts, and for learning electronic components in STEM. It also supports advanced commands for advanced users to apply to their own electronic work.
