Yutopia Corporation (President: Yoshiteru Hayakawa) has obtained the "Bihada Onsen Certificate" after a skin science analysis conducted by POLA ORBIS HOLDINGS INC. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) proved that the hot springs at the hotel work for beautiful skin (Figure 1). There are seven types of hot spring certificates for beautiful skin, based on their different effects on the skin. In Yamanashi Prefecture, the "Unwind Booster Hot Spring," "Barrier Oasis Hot Spring," and "Express Junka Hot Spring" were found at Ishiwa Hot Spring(*1). Our hot spring has now been classified as a "Melting Purification Hot Spring," making it the first cleaning system to be discovered in Yamanashi Prefecture and the first to be certified.

Cosmetics company POLA ORBIS Group has demonstrated the skin-beautifying effects of Isawa Onsen.

We often hear people say that bathing in hot springs "moisturizes" and "smoothes" the skin, but there was little data to scientifically support these effects. Therefore, the research laboratories of the POLA ORBIS Group have been conducting research since 2021 with the aim of scientifically proving the effects of hot springs on the skin and promoting their effectiveness.

In order to demonstrate this time, we invited researchers to visit us. In addition, in order to verify the precise skin beautifying effects, we collected "hot water poured into the bathtub," which is in direct contact with the skin of our guests (Figure 2), and conducted an analysis based on skin science research. As a result, we found that our hot spring water has the characteristic of removing unnecessary sebum and is recommended for those who wish to have fresh and smooth skin. The results showed that the quality of our hot spring for beautiful skin is "melting purifying hot spring" that is expected to produce pure skin after cleansing.

Compared to purified water, the hot water from the Ryuoh radon hot spring had a lighter red-stained artificial sebum. This confirmed the cleansing action of removing unnecessary sebum.
