COCCARA CAFE

Mr. and Mrs. Maeda, who run "COCCARA CAFE" in Iwami Town, Tottori, will open "FURAHA", an inn for only one couple per day, in Iwami Town, a neighboring town of Tottori City, on November 22, 2024. Iwami Town is home to the San'in Kaigan National Park, and is a Geopark-certified area characterized by its beautiful coastline, where one can feel close to both the sea and the mountains, and the Oya Coast is one of the most compact and well-developed, almost like a private beach. FURAHA is located just a 30-second walk along the coast.

The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Maeda, have been running "COCCARA CAFE" next door for 5 years. They fell in love with the amazingly clear waters of Iwami and decided to build an accommodation facility next to their cafe in the hopes that as many people as possible would visit the area.

■Concept

The concept is "a place to spend time as you feel," designed to allow guests to spend time as they feel in a private location away from the hustle and bustle of the city and its beautiful scenery, which changes from moment to moment every day. You can also experience meals, saunas, and massages at a leisurely pace.

■Features

The first floor of the facility is equipped with showers and toilets at the entrance, so that after enjoying ocean fun, you can relax directly downstairs without having to go up to your room upstairs.

The second floor is a bedroom and living room, and as you walk up the stairs, you will see a large window that looks like a painting of the Iwami Sea. The second floor also has a bathroom and sauna room through a cave-like door. The bathroom windows look out onto greenery, with sunlight streaming in through the trees. The furnishings, such as the cat's foot bathtub, are playful and attractive, creating a space that keeps the viewer entertained. The sauna room overlooks the Iwami Sea, and a private room equipped with a wax sauna allows guests to relax and forget about the passage of time.

Meals are served in the adjoining café in the winter and BBQ style on a charcoal grill in the summer. For dinner, the owner creates and serves a menu featuring local ingredients, including Tottori wagyu beef steak, while BBQ is served on a small shichirin (charcoal grills). This is another aspect of the restaurant's concept.
