The new option provides enhanced security by preventing access from devices that do not have CopriGuard installed (i.e., unmanaged devices).

CopriGuard is an information leakage prevention software that prohibits the taking out of files shared within the company. It allows users to edit files on the server while prohibiting them from copying or printing files locally or externally for internal or remote work. It also prohibits the taking out of files by e-mail attachment or uploading, and prohibits screen shots (screen captures) of screen information while using files, thus strongly preventing information leaks.

Since its release, "CopriGuard" has been highly acclaimed for its high security despite its simplicity, which prohibits copying and printing of files on the server to the local environment simply by installing the protection tool on the PC.

The latest version, Ver. 7.0, responds to the many requests from customers who want to protect important files from devices that do not have CopriGuard installed.

Until now, to restrict access to shared folders (critical areas) from devices not managed by CopriGuard (brought PCs/smartphones/Macs, etc.), it was necessary to set up access control in the OS. However, with the new "Shared Folder Protection Extension Option," access can now be prohibited simply by setting up CopriGuard and the shared server. In addition, by using the new encryption function together, the risk of information leakage can be reduced and a more secure system environment can be realized.
