Big Event for Okinawan Crafts The 27th Okinawa Woody Fair" will be held from November 8 to 10!

The Okinawa Woody Fair (sponsored by the Okinawa Woody Fair Executive Committee, chaired by Mikita Koyama) will be held from November 8 (Fri.) to 10 (Sun.), 2024, at the Okinawa Craft Forest in Tomigusuku City.

The purpose of this event is to promote the quality of wood products and to improve the living environment by holding an exhibition of wood crafts, and at the same time, to improve the skills of craftsmen and to develop the wood craft and wood product industries in the prefecture.

Last year, more than 7,000 visitors enjoyed the chance to encounter Okinawan craftsmanship during the three-day event.

This year's event will again consist of a full lineup of events, including the exhibition and sale of woodwork and other crafts, woodworking experience, SDGs-themed production exhibit, high school students' woodworking exhibit corner, auction, free distribution of saplings, and more.
