The cause of the pain may have nothing to do with the diagnosis.
Even if you see a doctor and receive a diagnosis such as "herniated disc," "spinal canal stenosis," or "sciatica," the pain and numbness often come from a different place.
About 80% of people over the age of 50 have "spinal canal stenosis"!
According to the "Association between imaging and clinical symptoms of lumbar spinal canal stenosis in the general local population" conducted by Wakayama Medical University in 2013, about 1,000 people (938 people) over 50 years old were randomly selected for MRI of the lumbar region, regardless of whether they had pain or not, even those without symptoms, and they found something surprising The results were astonishing. To their surprise, 77.9%, or about 80%, had "moderate or severe spinal canal stenosis. In other words, most people's spinal canals become narrower as they age.
Interestingly, only 12.9% of those with "moderate or greater narrowing of the spinal canal" had "specific symptoms of spinal canal stenosis. Even if the spinal canal is considerably narrowed, about 87% of people do not experience the pain, numbness, and other symptoms characteristic of spinal stenosis.
This fact is very important. Almost everyone's spinal canal narrows at an older age. In other words, if you are 60 or 70 years old and visit a hospital because of numbness or pain in your legs, the images will show narrowing of the spinal canal, and anyone could be diagnosed with spinal stenosis. Of course, there are people who have spinal canal stenosis and have symptoms caused by it. However, the percentage is not that high.
In this book, "Herniated Disc" and "Sciatica" are also explained in an easy-to-understand manner to explain the possibility of discrepancy between the diagnostic name and the real cause.
● What are the real causes of leg pain and numbness?
When people suffering from leg pain and numbness seek medical attention, they are most often explained by medical professionals that the cause is in the lower back. However, the author explains that at least half of them have symptoms caused by "peripheral nerves" and "fascia".
Discover the causative site with a 3-step self-check.
This book explains how to perform the process of identifying the three aforementioned causes on your own. Once the causes of pain and numbness are identified, you will be able to perform appropriate self-care on your own.
●Introduces self-checks for each area of pain
This book introduces specific methods of the aforementioned self-checks for each area of pain. By scanning the two-dimensional code in the book with a smartphone or other device, you can view the actual method on video, allowing you to understand the exact method.

Voice of the Experienced
The symptoms that were diagnosed as "scoliosis" were immediately lightened!
About three years ago, I began to experience pain and numbness from my left hip to the outside of my thigh when I walked or stood up for long periods of time. I was diagnosed with spinal canal stenosis and continued to take prescribed painkillers and apply compresses, but there was no improvement. I went to Dr. Sonobe for an examination and treatment, and to my surprise, my symptoms immediately lessened. My posture has also improved, and my family and friends tell me that I look younger. (Female in her 60s)
I was able to graduate from the preliminary surgery!
I had a constant pain from my buttocks to the back of my thighs, and when I went to the hospital, I was diagnosed as having "spinal canal stenosis" and was told that if the pain continued, I would have to have surgery. After that, the pain became stronger and I was thinking, "Oh, I have no choice but to have surgery. ......" When a friend introduced me to Dr. Sonobe. After a detailed examination by the doctor, I found that the cause was apparently a tight muscle in my buttock that was pressing on the posterior femoral cutaneous nerve. After that, I repeated stretching and other exercises as I was told, and the pain gradually began to go away. If I had left the pain as it was, I might have had to have surgery. (Male in his 50s)
