CODE BLUE Executive Committee
The CODE BLUE Executive Committee is pleased to welcome David A. Dalrymple, a research scientist on AI security standards at the UK's Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA), as a opening keynote speaker at CODE BLUE 2024 (Training: November 9-13, Conference: November 14-15 in Takadanobaba, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo). Also, in the closing session, representatives from Japan, the U.K., Europe, and the U.S. will gather for a panel discussion on “International Approaches to Cybersecurity Talent Development and Strategic Initiatives”.
■Opening Keynote on Current Challenges and Future Prospects for AI
David Dalrymple (a.k.a. davidad) is a research scientist leading the development of "Safeguarded AI" at the Advanced Research & Invention Agency (ARIA), UK. The keynote will feature ARIA's insights on Safeguarded AI and its latest views on AI safety in the cybersecurity field.
The cyber security community is increasingly interested in autonomous frameworks, such as AIxCC, which is promoted by DARPA in the US for automatic vulnerability detection and patch creation, and TRACTOR, which automates code translation from C to Rust through AI. These are examples of AI agents that can make decisions independently without human intervention.
Meanwhile, the impact of these technologies on cybersecurity and other areas is still debated by many researchers. This talk will provide a unique perspective on the current challenges and future prospects of AI.
