About Shinjuku Tsubakian

Shinjuku Tsubakian opened in 2007 in Shinjuku's Kabukicho district. The Daikanyama branch will open in 2019, and in the winter months there is a long line of customers waiting in line to try its taiyaki. We started this store to provide a delicious and fun way to enjoy taiyaki, a dish that every Japanese person has had at least once.

Characteristics of the store

Our taiyaki are made of "thick" and "thin" flour, each made of a completely different type of flour. The owner, who is a former chef, has been meticulous in making this special dough by mixing several kinds of flour in a unique way. You can enjoy different tastes that you cannot find anywhere else.

Among them, "Atsuyaki (Adzuki-bean cake)" has been the most popular since the establishment, with a crispy outside and moist inside.

It is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and is sandwiched between two layers of moderately sweet anko (red bean paste).
