Matcha Parfait Ice cream Bar Celebrates One Millionth Bar Part 2 New seasonal flavor "Momiji" available from September 12
株式会社伊藤久右衛門
Ltd. (Location: Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture; President: Joji Hirose), a teahouse founded in the late Edo period, will sequentially begin selling Matcha Puff Pastry Ice Cream Bar Momiji exclusively at Itohkyuemon stores from September 12, 2024 (Thursday).
Matcha Parfait Ice cream Bar Momiji
The new flavor "Momiji" will join the "Matcha Parfait Ice Cream Bar," an ice cream bar based on Itohkyuemon's Uji Matcha Parfait and seasonal parfait, this fall. To commemorate the one millionth unit sold, we launched the "Puff Pastry Ice Cream Bar Hydrangea" in May, which was well received by our customers.
This fall, as the second commemorative product topping 1 million units, Kyuemon Ito will introduce a new flavor, Momiji Matcha Parfait, a seasonal parfait available only in autumn.
The parfait is a reproduction of the Momiji green tea parfait, with green tea ice cream made from Uji green tea produced in Kyoto, topped with Momiji jelly, astringent chestnuts, and sweet potato Mont Blanc. We hope you will enjoy the taste of matcha with autumnal delicacies only available now. It will be available exclusively at Ito Kuemon's actual stores.

History of Itohkyuemon
It was in the late Edo period (Tempo 3) that Tsuneemon Itoh I and Takizo Itoh were engaged in the tea business in the village of Meimura, Tahara Village (present-day Uji-Tawaraminami). The tea business was then passed down from generation to generation through Ito Tsuneemon II and Kyuzaburo, Ito Tsuneemon III and Yoshimatsu, and Ito Takichi IV. In 1952, Kyuzo Ito V moved from Uji-Tawara to Uji, and opened a store selling Uji tea at Uji-Renge (present-day Heidoin Omotesando). In the same year, when he established the company, he took the name of Ito Tsuneemon, which had been passed down from generation to generation, and the first letter of "Hisa" in Ito Kyuzo's own name, and named the company "Itohkyuemon Co. The company continues to produce tea in Uji-Tawara, where the company was founded, at the tea plantation that has been passed down in the Ito family from generation to generation.
