Synean K.K. CEO Esben Grondel has started a campaign on the crowdfunding site "CAMPFIRE" to self-publish a book about his 8 years in Japan and his business experiences in Denmark and Japan.

Based on his experiences of living in Japan and Denmark and his knowledge of design, he will share the realities of the Danish social system that he has experienced so far and the insights that he will gain from his future in-depth visits to Denmark in the form of travelogues and essays.

Graduated from Aarhus University, Faculty of Aesthetics (now Faculty of Aesthetics and Communication) / Faculty of Culture (now Faculty of Culture and Society) in 2013

Graduated from Master of Service Systems Design, Aalborg University in 2016

In July 2022, I founded Synean K.K. to support Japanese government and private companies in reforming their work styles and DX using a service design approach.

I was born in Denmark and have been living in Japan for 8 years.

I have received numerous questions about Denmark from numerous Japanese delegations and clients from the Japanese private and government sectors.

As I repeatedly explain Denmark in response to questions, I am happy to hear questioners say that they have gained new insights and ideas. I decided to self-publish the book in order to increase these opportunities and to reach as many people as possible.

We decided to challenge crowdfunding for the self-publishing of the book for the following reasons

We want to see if people are interested in the content of the book.

We would like to adjust the content of the book based on the feedback we have received through the comments function on CAMPFIRE.

I have experience working for a Danish company in Japan and a Japanese company in Denmark, and I founded a company in Japan that promotes a Danish way of working and values, so I think I have something to share with you.
