FFF SMART LIFE CONNECTED (Head office: Ayase City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Hidetaka Hoshino) is pleased to announce that it has acquired 100% of the shares of FEATHER AQUA Corporation, a planning and sales company of cosmetics and beauty appliances, and made it a wholly owned subsidiary. With the stock acquisition, FEATHER AQUA Co., Ltd. has changed its company name to FEATHER AQUA JAPAN Co.

Both companies will utilize their respective technologies, knowledge, and management resources for mutual business growth and further expansion.

As the first of FEATHER AQUA JAPAN products, a set of three Kumano brush makeup brushes (powder brush/cheek brush/eye shadow brush) manufactured using traditional techniques will be released on August 20, 2024.

The Kumano brush, a calligraphy brush designated as a traditional craft, was born at the end of the Edo period (1603-1867) and was certified as a "traditional craft" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (then Ministry of International Trade and Industry) in 1975, in recognition of the brush-making techniques that have been passed down over more than 100 years. The traditional techniques cultivated over many years are incorporated into each brush.

These cosmetic brushes are manufactured using calligraphy brush technology. The raw bristles are selected according to their purpose, and the superb texture is achieved by a process that does not cut the tips of the bristles. By preparing the tips of the bristles without cutting them, the feel on the skin becomes very natural and gentle.
