Uji, Kyoto, where Itohkyuemon has a store, is famous for its hydrangea blossoms, known as the Hydrangea Temple, which attracts many tourists during the rainy season. During this season, the teahouse can be a three- to four-hour wait or longer. Now in its 12th year, the "Hydrangea Parfait" is the most popular seasonal parfait, featuring an image of hydrangea drenched in rain dew, including matcha hydrangea kinton, hydrangea-colored crushed jelly, leaf-shaped matcha cookies and blueberries. This year, a new menu item will also be available with a set of "Uji Matcha mizumazuki". For souvenirs, the new "Matcha Parfait Ice cream Bar -Hydrangea-", hydrangea panna cotta and hydrangea kinton will be available in limited quantities.
