Sake Brewery Event "Hiya Garden" to be held in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture from June 14! Enjoy cold sake and local food while soaking up the atmosphere of a sake brewery that has been in business for over 350 years! ～This year marks the 20th year of the event! Online advance reservations start from 5/10!

Daiichi Brewery Co. (Location: Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture; President: Yoshinori Shimada) will open "Hiya Garden" on its premises for 14 days only, every Friday and Saturday from June 14 (Friday) to July 27 (Saturday), 2024. This event allows visitors to spend a relaxing time while enjoying cold sake and special boxed lunches made with local ingredients in an elegant environment that evokes the history of the company's more than 350 years in business.

Reservations are accepted only by phone from one month prior to the event date, but advance online reservations (for 30 people each day) will be available at https://shop.sakekaika.co.jp/categories/80 from 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2012.

Past events (first half)

This event is a plan to make the most of the tasteful environment of the sake brewery in the summer as well, and to enjoy sake in a relaxed atmosphere at the company's premises, which include the main sake brewery and rice cellar, both of which are 150-year-old tangible cultural properties registered with the Agency for Cultural Affairs. This is the 20th year since the program started in 2005, and approximately 1,000 people (72 people x 14 days) are expected to participate. After three years of take-out and reduced content during the three years of the Corona Disaster, the 2023 event was held almost entirely under the pre-Corona Disaster structure.

This year, to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the company's founding, we plan to sell a 720 ml limited edition hiya-garden sake with a label featuring a picture drawn by a local kindergarten student.

At Hiya Garden, visitors can enjoy unlimited drinking of several types of sake, including limited-edition sake not for sale, special limited-edition sake, special boxed lunches, and tofu made from local specialty water.
