MICHAIL GKINIS AOYAMA, which produces creative items that brighten the individuality of the wearer, such as the "Wearable Art Stole" that can be worn in a multiple ways, has launched a semi-custom project for "Wearable Art" that can be worn as both interior decoration and fashion. The project will begin on Friday, May 10, 2024.

"Art to Wear" will be available for semi-order, hand-painted on Japanese fabrics that Michail Gkinis loves as a canvas. The bold yet delicate brush strokes of the paintings on a single piece of fabric can be enjoyed as art painting or used as a fabric for a stole or a dress.

You can purchase your choice of one-of-a-kind hand-painted art paintings (expected retail price: 39,000 yen and up). The large artwork measuring approximately 130cm x 150cm, which incorporates the artist's sensibility in color and design, which changes from time to time, will completely change the atmosphere of a room just by hanging it on a simple white wall. It can be hung on a table or sofa, used as an accessory for curtains, or used as a part of your interior design.

<About the system>

When making semi-custom clothing or scarves, the artwork will be discounted 10% from the selling price.

The cost of the item to be made will be added separately to the cost of the artwork, and the final price will vary depending on the pattern and number of items to be made. In the future, we plan to offer more items such as variations of each item, T-shirts for children, and pet accessories. Currently, cotton is the only material used, but we plan to expand to wool, leather, artificial leather, and other materials.

How to order

The ordering process will be conducted by appointment (90 minutes per pair) at the Michail Gkinis Aoyama Todoroki street store. We will solve color combinations, sizes, and complexes by design. For those who cannot come to the store, we can accommodate you online, so please feel free to contact us. After placing an order, we will deliver or mail it to you in approximately one to two months.

Ready-made "Wearable Art" is also available.

For those who want to enjoy art more casually, we recommend our ready-made products, which are inkjet-printed reproductions of art paintings. The art is available in approximately three different patterns for each season (new patterns are scheduled to be released each season). They are also available for purchase in our online store. (The ready-to-wear items can be adjusted at the atelier for alterations such as the length of the garment and sleeve length.)

Special items will be on sale to commemorate the release of "Wearable Art" Semi-Order.

During the event, wall-hanging art & tapestries (from 8,800 yen including tax) and optional panels for the popular "Coat Stole" product (regular price: 19,800 yen including tax) will be sold at a special price (14,300 yen including tax) (limited to 10 panels). (The sale will end when the planned number of panels has been sold.)
