Gujo-Hachiman Nature Park (Director: Tamayoshi Asuka), which operates the best pet cemetery resort (Nature Park) in Gujo-Hachiman, a town known for its water and dance, will open a satoyama-type dog run facility on May 1, 2012.

Although flat dog runs are now in general use, Asuka has been thinking that these dog runs do not sufficiently relieve the stress of Japanese dogs, which have a strong wild background, and this led to the idea of utilizing a satoyama, taking advantage of its location. The first phase of construction, a 150-meter-long circuit course (250 square meters in area), was completed.
