After nine years of hardship, Bunin returned to perform at the Yatsugatake Kogen Ongakudo in June 2022. Following his Japan tour in 2023, "Stanislav Bunin Piano Recital 2024-25" has been scheduled.

In 1985, at the 11th International Chopin Piano Competition, Stanislav Bunin, who was only 19 years old at the time, shocked the world with his overwhelming performance, creating such a sensation in Japan that it was dubbed the "Bunin phenomenon, Ten years ago, he suddenly disappeared from the stage. The reason for his sudden disappearance was an illness and injury that threatened his life as a pianist. He still suffers from paralysis in his left hand, and his left leg is eight centimeters shorter than his right leg due to surgery. In 2022, the film "Still I Play the Piano: Beyond the Nine-Year Gap of Genius Pianist Bunin" was broadcast on NHK-BS Premium to great acclaim and excitement, and a sequel was broadcast in January and February 2024. The new program for 2024 will be announced at a later date.

Born in Moscow in 1966. He grew up in a family of pianists, his grandfather being G. Negus, a famous educator who nurtured such masters as Richter and Guilleris.
In 1983, at the age of 17, he won the first prize at the International Ron Thibaud Competition; in 1985, he won the first prize at the 11th International Chopin Piano Competition; in 1999, he was awarded the "Viotti d&Oro Award" for his performance activities in Europe. In 1999, he began the eight-part "Chopin Cycle," a series of performances in Europe. In Japan, he has performed with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, NHK Symphony Orchestra, Yomiuri Symphony Orchestra, and many other orchestras.
He visited children affected by the Armenian earthquake in 1988, the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, and the Okushiri Earthquake, and held charity concerts and donated pianos to the victims.
In 2010, she held a charity gala concert for UNICEF to commemorate the 25th anniversary of her victory in the Chopin Competition. In August, he performed on the final day of the month-long "Chopin Festival for the 200th Anniversary of Chopin's Birth" in Warsaw, which was attended by Argerich and others, and concluded the festival. In July 2011, she held the "S. Bunin Charity Gala Concert" with Hiroko Nakamura and Yosuke Yamashita for children orphaned by the Great East Japan Earthquake, with all proceeds going to Ashinaga Scholarship Society. In April 2012, he appeared on NHK's "TOMORROWbeyond 3.11," performing with the music club of Sendai Sanzou High School in the disaster-stricken area.
In July, he held a concert in support of the North Korean Families of Abductees Liaison Association.
In December, performed Schumann's Piano Concerto with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall in Germany to great acclaim.
In 2013, she temporarily suspended her performance activities due to a battle with illness.
In June 2022, she returned to the stage with a recital at Yatsugatake Kogen Ongakudo. In the fall of the same year, the NHK-BS Premium program "Still I Play the Piano: Beyond the Nine-Year Gap of Pianist Genius Bunin" was broadcast, and a sequel to this program was broadcast on NHK General on January 1, 2024, and a special version was broadcast on NHK-BS Premium in February, creating a great sensation.
From November 2023 to January 2024, the long-awaited recital tour will be held in 6 cities in Japan: Tokyo, Niigata, Nagano, Saitama, Osaka, and Yamaguchi.
In July 2024, she will tour in Kumamoto and Shizuoka, and from autumn 2024 in Tokyo, Sapporo, Iwate, Nagano, Takasaki, Gifu, Osaka, and Fukuoka.
