Sanda City, Hyogo "Sanda Sakura Monogatari" Project Sanda Cherry Blossom Festival 2024" will be held on March 30, 2024! Crowdfunding now underway and donations accepted until March 31!

Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture, will hold the "Sanda Cherry Blossom Festival 2024" on March 30, 2024 as part of the "Sanda Sakura Story" project. This event will allow visitors to experience the charm of Sanda through cherry blossoms.

We are also conducting a Hometown Choice crowdfunding campaign. Donations can be made through the Furusato Choice website until March 31, 2024. All donations will be used for "Sanda Sakura Story" activities.

About the "Sanda Sakura Story" Project

The "Mukogawa Sakura Zukumi Corridor" in Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture, is a 25-km corridor of approximately 4,000 cherry trees along the Mukogawa River, and was established approximately 30 years ago by Hyogo Prefecture as part of the "Hometown Sakura Zukumi Corridor" linking the Sea of Japan and the Seto Inland Sea with cherry trees. Someiyoshino cherry trees have a healthy life span of about 60 years. If time continues to pass at this rate, this landscape will eventually be lost.

Based on the idea of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), Sanda Sakura Story is a project to learn, protect, enjoy, and nurture the cherry trees along the Muko River and wild cherry trees growing wild in the satoyama as a symbol of a sustainable town and "the original landscape of our hometown" that gently embraces people's memories, together with local communities, citizens, children, and companies. This is a project to learn, protect, enjoy, nurture, and pass on to the children of the future.

Under the four policies of "protect, enjoy, nurture, and connect" cherry blossoms, the project will create opportunities for people to become interested in cherry blossoms in Sanda during the five-year planning period from FY 2012 to FY 2026, and will utilize wild cherry trees growing naturally in the satoyama of Sanda with the cooperation of a wide range of people in and outside the city, through public-private partnership among citizens, businesses, organizations, and the city. Together, we are creating new values and attractions for Sanda.

Big lottery: Collect 3 lottery tickets to win prizes such as Sanda Beef at the "Sanda Sakura Festival 2024 Big Lottery".
